Peter James & Matti Harvey Announced as Head Coaches of the 2026 Cedarbrook Seahawks
We are thrilled to officially announce that Peter James and Matti Harvey have been appointed as the new head coaches of the 2026 Cedarbrook Seahawks!
Matti brings a wealth of experience to the deck, both as a highly-accomplished NCAA swimmer, and as proven leader in and out of the pool. Her dedication, expertise, and deep understanding of the Cedarbrook Seahawks’ values and history makes her the perfect fit to lead our team into a new chapter of success. We are excited for what lies ahead under her guidance, and we can’t wait to see the Seahawks continue to grow, thrive, and make waves in the upcoming season!
Peter swam in MCSL starting at age 8, first on the Tilden Woods Dolphins, and, since he was 13, for the Seven Locks Sharks. He also swam year-round for RMSC. He swam for the varsity swim team all four years of high school and was co-captain his senior year. Peter was known for his breaststroke, freestyle, and especially for his team spirit. Peter coached for 2 years with Montgomery Stroke and Turn Clinic and has been providing private swim lessons for the past 5 years, including 2 years as an Assistant Head Coach at OGC. While teaching kids good form, he makes practices and lessons fun and helps kids build confidence in the water. Peter is excited to build team culture and keep the fun going all summer long!
We are so excited to see all that Peter and Matti have planned for the team, and can't wait to see you all on the deck!

Let’s go Seahawks!
